This article shows you how to assemble the Quadra stand with side slot for our hub.  The stand is helpful to:

1.  Reduce the Quadra temperature.  The Quadra, like any computer, can run warm without active cooling.  A fan is really helpful to keep it cooler and running at full speed.

2.  Create a clean setup using less desk space and make the hub ports easily accessible.

The stand ships as a single piece (but these may have separated somewhat during shipping):

Step 1.  Break apart the pieces.  The stand consists of 3 parts, 2 sides and a base connected by thin 1mm plastic.  Break these apart as shown:

Step 2.  (Optional) Trim the remaining plastic from the newly separated parts with a sharp knife. Be careful not to trim off the pegs that hold the stand together!

Step 3.  Align the pegs on the base with the holes on the sides and push together.  Make sure the base has the "tray" facing up as this is what will hold the fan:

Step 4.  Press the base into the sides.  The base may fit a bit loose (or tight) due to variances in 3D printing and plastic expansion. The pegs here are to keep the base from falling down.  If it is a bit loose, don't worry:  The Quadra itself will hold everything together in a later step.

Step 5.  Install the 40x40x10mm fan.  The fan sets into the base tray with the label facing up.  If you will be installing the hub, note there is a notch on one side for the cable to go through.  The hub will hold it in place.  Note that the label may look different.  The important thing is that it be facing up so that air is forced into the quadra vents.

Step 6.  Slide the Quadra into the Stand.  You can pinch the sides together while you do this to hold it all together if needed.  The side with the single (blue inside) USB port must be facing up!  Don't worry too much if the stand sides aren't completely straight while you slide in the Quadra - you can easily straighten them once it is all the way in.  Just try to keep the stand together.

Step 7 (Optional):  Slide the hub into the side slot:

Step 8 Connect the cables.  Plug the hub into the USB port in the back and the fan into the hub:

Your stand setup is now done!
