Pulling out the last hair (but bald is beautiful) in trying to connect wifi.

I have a couple of wifi routers here. Everything else connects with no problem but not the Quadra. Using the same setup as I use on other devices, the Quadra sees some of the routers but then only times out.

Advice sought.

What type and brand of routers are these?  Wifi 4, 5 or 6?  I haven't run into any issues connecting to my fiber-supplied router or Open Mesh or Ubiquiti access points I have here.

I assume this is the base Quadra and not the Quadra Plus?

I'm having the same problem.  My network is seen by the Quadra, the Quadra offers me 2 internal network devices I can log in through (a Realtek and an ST-Ericson).  I try logging in via either device, I enter my password correctly, it acts as if it's going to connect, and then the icon on top changes back to up and down arrows from the wireless symbol, and I get a network disconnected error.

My router is an Eero mesh system that supports WiFi 5.

I solved the problem,  at least for me.  After lots of diddling around, I found in the section where you edit the connections,  a little check box that says "require IPv4" something or other.  Unchecked this and everything works as it should. I have no idea how it got checked but there you are.

I'm still not working on wireless.  I was not able to find anything misconfigured in the ipv4 settings.  I bought a long LAN cable so I could connect into my wired network, and the Quadra works fine on wired ethernet.  Still no joy connecting wirelessly.

Any ideas for a fix?

One thing I did was to go into the Wifi connection edit page and put a number into the priority field.  I have used 1 and 10 and both work to somehow tickle the connection into working...

I figured out the problem.  My router doesn't support the network security protocol that Armbian defaults to.  I went and opened settings/advanced network settings, selected my wireless network, clicked on the 3 bar icon at the bottom of the window.  A window opened up titled "Editing (Network name)".  I clicked on Wi-Fi Security, then selected from the Security drop-down a protocol that my router does support.  That took care of the issue.  Thanks for the suggestion, lnxguy.

Just to confirm:  you did use the small up/down arrows in the top right corner of the screen to connect the Quadra to wifi?

If not, you need to do that.  If so, did the connection say it succeeded?

Had to do the Fn Alt F9 to fnd the arrows on  the upper right of the screen ... but once I found where to hook up the wifi from your instructions, everything came on just fine and I am really happy.  Thanks for your quick response ... made my wife happy also ...lol ... 73 de K3MP
